Wednesday 22nd December 2021
We’ve been on this one since the end of July, Approaching 2,800 sq ft of floor space, A change of use new build working within the peramaters of the existing portal frame. Really tight time frame on this one having to get the clients moved in by December, we were hoping for it to be habitable but ended up with mostly decorated and carpets down. Fantastic result having to be super organised at time when most jobs have untold delays, none here!
Shout out for Ryan!
Saturday 18th September 2021
A big shout out for Ryan, he’s our in-house plumbing & heating engineer, having completed is college training many years ago whilst in our employ, he boast’s competance in heating and pressurised systems. This recent commission is a typical example of how neat his work is and how accomplished he has become, Showing here a system boiler powering underfloor heating with 4 zoned areas, upstairs and down radiators zoned separately & a pressurised cylinder giving instant hot water. You will not find a more complicated domestic installation completed in a more conscientious and neat fashion. Great work Ryan!

New recruit!
Thursday 26th March 2020
Working through coronavirus. Fortunately our current new build could not be more isolated, a mile down a farm track in Cotgrave. Doing our best to keep safe we have Dean & Ryan in during the day bricklaying, whilst keeping a safe distance apart, followed by me & Joe in for a couple of hours early evening loading out for the next day. Great chance for my son Joe to get some experience. We are safety conscious, working to a system, rotating workforce, limiting risk. Never a more important time to be planning ahead, our roof trusses turned up yesterday from MTE, just as everyone is closing down. Hopefully we can progress the job during a really difficult time, whilst adhering to the latest…

Here we've rebuilt the perimeter wall & replaced barriers with electric gates. An articulated lorry totally misjudged their leaving the yard and took the lot out. We had a call from the transport company from London, having found us on the internet, & we responded that day by making the yard secure, we then came back to rebuild & fit matching the original very well.
Rothley Fisheries
Tuesday 12th February 2019
We've just installed a new digital media TV at the Rothley Fisheries Restaurant. We used a combination of crackle paintwork & sculptured planking to give that aged look. Andraos & Christie are very pleased to be able to entertain they're clientele in a new way. Check it out for yourself & enjoy the Best Fish & Chips around. Click view more for more pics.

Extreme porching
Wednesday 17th October 2018
Having just completed this extension in rothley, one of my best customers over the years asked for a porch to compliment it, giving rain cover and somewhere for the boys to sit and take there football boots off. I originally thought of the porch's fronting the new developments locally, to this we matched in the new extension roof and added bags of character, & by comparison i called it "extreme porching". Click "view more" to see how well it looks.

The attic roof trusses arrived today for the garage conversion & extension we are in the process of completing. The client suggested we create extra living space by putting in a mezzanine floor over the garage conversion & extension, the existing property has very steep roof profiles and lends itself well to this design. Great use of space and turning out much larger than anticipated. Click the 'view more' button to see what I mean.

Really enjoyed this one, combining old skills, we've made openings for new windows in stone walls to the road side elevation, fitted conservation roof windows to Swithland slate roof & sourced the original bricks from a reclamation yard to completely redesign the courtyard elevation. Listed building consent meant matching new windows & door sets to the existing vicarage, Really happy with the final result, though its completely changed, you would never know, that was our aim from the start. Where it all began! 29th June 1970
Thursday 29th June 2000
My father W J Green started his career as a plumber, taking time to understand the industry, then with the ambition of building a house in every Leicestershire village, he would build speculatively, building houses through the winter, they would sell during summer while we took holidays & bought new plots. He completed some 40 individual homes the latter ones I was fortunate enough to be by his side helping him from a very young age.
